Biography
David Gundle's passion and excitement for the job was contagious. He was an Advanced EMT for Clark County EMS and had been with the company for three years. He held previous jobs in healthcare, had worked as a fireman and as a police officer. David enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and Colts football. He was a good dad who had a love for Christmas. He loved his six kids and his wife, Julie, dearly and jokingly referred to his family as the "Brady Bunch." David was also a strong Christian with a tremendous servant's heart, volunteering his time to his church and community.

His wife had often asked him to consider a new position or career because of his age and the hours he worked, but he would not pull away from his passion. He had always said that; "If I'm going to go out, I want to go out doing something to help somebody," she remembered. "He did."

On December 8, 2010, while responding to a medical call, the ambulance David was a passenger in left the roadway on a curve and struck a tree head on. David was airlifted to a trauma center where he was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.

Honored 2011
