Biography
He was born June 30, 1960, in Branson, MO, son of Donald Dean and Edna Rosella Wise Stone. Kenny grew up in Oak Grove where his neighbors remember him as the typical kid next door. Kenny devoted most of his time to work, but enjoyed fishing, canoeing, float trips, and Chiefs football. He was such a Chiefs fan that he flew the team flag from his car when he went with friends to the Steelers vs. Chiefs game.
Kenny served his community as a paramedic and an instructor. He most recently worked for American Paramedical Service, Inc. (APSI) in Sedalia, but had spent a career serving as the Sni-Valley Volunteer Fire Department where he rose to the rank of assistant chief. He also served in Oak Grove EMS, Life Guard Ambulance, Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance, Lexington Fire Department, Golden Valley EMS, and Air Evac Life Team. He taught numerous CPR and EMT classes over the years and was always willing to lend his expertise when it was needed. All he worked with and encountered considered Kenny an excellent mentor.

Kenny was working as crew chief at a motor vehicle accident when he suddenly became ill and started experiencing severe dyspnea. Kenny informed his coworkers on the scene and they started immediate care. He was transported to a local hospital where he died a short time later.

Honored 2014
