| William Ryan died as a result of "World Trade Center illness" that resulted from his response to Ground Zero following the attacks on 9/11/2001. He treated and transported victims in days of countless round trips to Ground Zero. His agency retains the ambulance he used at Ground Zero in his honor. A native Long Islander, Ryan had the gift of gab and loved being in the community. |
