| Paramedic Gary Liszewski was only 35 years old when he suffered a heart attack while on duty at Station 14 of Broward County EMS on January 22, 1987. Gary was a former paramedic-training officer and had been with Broward Fire Rescue for five years.<br /> <br /> When Gary collapsed in a storage room at the fire station, his co-workers and friends rushed to provide medical care. Unfortunately, their attempts were futile, as he died at Broward General Medical Center. <br /> <br /> Honored 2012 |
