| As a dedicated member of the Washington County Life Saving Crew, Eugene was on volunteer duty during the local high school football game. During the event he suffered a heart attack, and another crew member began cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Unfortunately, he did not respond.<br /> <br /> Eugene Rutledge died on August 31, 1984, as he stood ready to offer assistance to anyone in need.<br /> <br /> Honored 1994 |
