| Biography | |
| David was a true gentleman; he was a valued comrade and brother. "Our loss is God's gain, he must have needed a shift covered," stated a co-worker. He was a dedicated man and he lived his life in a simple way, and was kind to all.

David Sauder, 36, of Leola, Pennsylvania, was killed in the line of duty on February 16, 2007. He was responding to a Class 1 call when the vehicle he was riding in went out of control on ice- covered roads. He died as dedicated EMS provider, and friends worked feverishly to save his life.

David was a long-time employee of Leola Ambulance Service. He also worked for the Bareville Fire Company as an officer, firefighter, and friend.

"One has to wonder why a man so good, so kind, is taken. He had four daughters and a baby son. However, if David were here, he would say it was in God's plan, and that this family will understand. David had unimaginable faith; it was shown by the way he lived his life helping others.

Honored 2008 |
