Biography
While on his way to the local hospital on March 24, 1997 to transport a patient to the nursing home, a drunk driver hit the ambulance Ray was driving. He was killed instantly when the airborne ambulance landed on the left side. There was no patient on board.<br /> <br /> Raymond Fish, Jr., 34, was an EMT and had been employed by his father at Capital District Ambulance Service for 17 years. His duties were transporting patients and helping the injured whenever he was able."He took special care of everyone that was in his ambulance," said his father Raymond D. Fish Sr."Being an EMT was what Ray Jr. had wanted for his entire life, it meant everything to him."<br /> <br /> He is survived by his parents, Arlene M. Kicinski Fish, Raymond D. Fish, Sr. and Patricia O'Brien Fish, sisters, Mary Lee Fish Giliman, Margo Fish, Laura Ann Junco, Margaret Mary Shellenberger, and brothers, Joseph Anthony Fish and David Patrick Fish.<br /> <br /> Honored 1998
