Biography
Heavy snow and ice covered the roads in Maine on January 30, 1992, as 39-year-old Richard Farrar made his way to Corinna Ambulance Service to pick up an ambulance to respond to a call. Richard lost control on the ice, collided with a car, and hit a tree. He died shorty afterward at Mayo Regional Hospital.<br /> <br /> Richard served eight years with the Army National Guard and was a member of the 192nd Army National Guard in Bangor, Maine. Additionally, he was a member of Lodge No. 39 Masons, Chapter No. 42 of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Ripley Grange, East Somerset Pomona Grange, Maine State Grange, and the National<br /> <br /> Grange. He had been chosen Prince of the Maine State Grange in 1971 and was active in the Ripley Ramblers 4-H Club.<br /> <br /> Linda and Richard and their children, Allan and Shelley, were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Dover-Foxcroft.<br /> <br /> Honored 1994
