Biography
Robert was a role model and leader to those in the volunteer ranks. He worked hard in his role as an Emergency Medical Technician. He loved what he did, and he saw the need to work and volunteer in his community.<br /> <br /> Robert Antonio Paoli, 31, was killed in a line of duty death on November 7, 2006. As Robert and a partner carried a patient on a gurney upstairs to be moved to an ambulance, Robert collapsed and went into cardiac arrest. He had worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for American Medical Response for ten years, recently being promoted to Shift Supervisor. He also worked as a volunteer firefighter for Marinwood Fire Department for eleven years.<br /> <br /> He volunteered countless hours coaching youth sports and helping at community events. His life was spent helping others. Robert was one of a team that responded to the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina Relief in Louisiana.<br /> <br /> Honored 2008
