Biography
"Chris was a gentle giant, nicknamed "Shrek" because of his calm, kind manners," stated EMS Director Kelly Harrison. "He has a larger than life personality and he could make any day a little brighter. You couldn't help but feel better just being around the guy, he was awesome." People from all the stations that Chris worked for are affected by his death.Chris Hall, 34, was killed in the line of duty on June 21, 2008. He was returning home from the Garrard County EMS station, about five miles away, when he was involved in a single-car accident.He was a full-time paramedic for Garrard County and part-time for Clay County EMS. He has previously worked for Whitley and Lauren counties. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a member of Bluegrass Sportmans Club and of the National Registry for EMT-Paramedics.When you lose someone of Hall's stature, it's like losing family. He was a great paramedic and never complained about a run; never had one ill word. He performed his job 110%. He is going to be missed.Honored 2009
