Biography
Brian was dedicated to his rescue work and to his family. He enjoyed his job and was a true professional and a good leader, the kind of guy everyone could depend on. "He was an exceptional paramedic, an excellent firefighter and a great friend," stated Fire Chief Mary Myers.

Brian Neville, 32, died in the line of duty on October 16, 2008. He was covering as supervisor for the Baltimore County Fire Department Texas Station. The following morning when his shift ended, members of the fire department attempted to rouse Brian. It was determined that he had died of arrhythmia of the heart.

Paramedic Neville had been with the fire department since 2001 and had been assigned to the Westview, Woodlawn and Catonsville stations. He had obtained the rank of county supervisor. "Brian could not be beat; he was such a nice, kind person and only said good things about people," said a co-worker. "We were family, he was our brother, and he will be missed."

Brian was a family man who left a three-month old baby, who someday will be able to understand that her father was a real hero.

Honored 2009
