The United States Official National EMS Memorial Service
Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in service of the United States of America.
On the first Decoration Day, General James Garfield made a speech at Arlington National Cemetery, and 5,000 participants decorated the graves of the 20,000 Union and Confederate soldiers buried there.
We are proud to honor those who gave their lives in the line of duty in 2014. Each year, families, friends and coworkers from around the nation come together during this Weekend of Tribute. This weekend of events not only recognizes and honors their sacrifice, but also provides support to the loved ones who are left behind. Please join us for these important and meaningful events.
